Do you desire to learn?
I frequently receive numerous invitations from martial arts practitioners, most of whom seek to learn from me. In their letters, they introduce themselves, detailing their studies in martial arts, forms, theories, qigong, and internal energy under various masters. Some are disciples of renowned martial artists or belong to prestigious martial arts schools.
These individuals aspire to reach higher levels of martial prowess and become the strongest among the strong. Some aim to fill gaps in their knowledge, while others continue their studies within their own schools but occasionally explore teachings from other styles. Remarkably, some have practiced martial arts for decades yet still feel they have gained little or no understanding.
Regardless of your background, advancing on the martial path, embracing challenges, and learning with humility requires both courage and strength. Throughout life, you will not be guided by just one teacher through all the trials and tribulations. Every person who accompanies you on your learning journey deserves to be called a teacher.
To summarize these letters, their core question is: "Is it possible to learn from Shifu Jiang?" My response is: "Do you desire to learn?"
